Cruising the Coast Outreach - Lighthouse Tent
Monday: October 5th, 2026 | 2 pm until parade time (Set-up will begin early that morning).

Main Idea: A ministry of presence.
Set up an area on the Jeff Davis Property as close as possible to Jeff Davis Ave and W 5th St., to simply greet people, offer prayer, and engage in conversations that lead to Gospel conversations.
Rationale:
  • Thousands of people from across America, with so many different backgrounds. Many have never experienced Christian goodwill through intercessory prayer.
  • Demonstrating to the crowds that we love them simply because they are made in God’s image and no other reason, and we have a hope that is meant for them as well!
  • While our doors are open Sunday morning for all who want to come worship, we still have the freedom to take our faith to the street corner and tell people about the God we worship so that they may come into a relationship with Him.
  • It’s a low-cost outreach that can engage many people individually right here in our own city, and even on our own property.
  • People still need the Lord!
What is needed?
  • We'll rope off a large area well ahead of time.
  • Pop-up canopies (at least 3), tables, chairs, fans (battery-powered), ice chests with bottled water, simple individual snacks, church marketing materials, tracts, Bibles, signs,  and people.
  • Put out canopies early that morning, and set up folding tables and chairs. After lunch, bring coolers, snacks, supplies, fans, etc., and set up everything so we're ready to receive people by 2 pm. Keeping the tent up until the end of the parade.
  • We plan to also have homemade lemonade available for those who stop by the tent.
  • Volunteers committed to 1-2 hour time slots at minimum with the intent to engage passersby and those seeking our space for prayer.
  • Volunteers to take down set up and return furniture to church.
